This is the 4th Beginners Yoga Course I am running.
I have added 2 brand new sessions to this Course: one on on Bandhas (what they are, how we engage them and what they are for) and one on Drishti and its types. I’ve also added one more type of breathing – Ujjayi breath.
🌟Bandhas – body locks. They offer support during a posture or in the transition between the movements.
They also help in directing the energy within a body.

The access to the materials of the course is included into the price of the Yoga Basics Course in a PDF format. You are welcome to print them off and use them for the sessions or access the materials online throughout the course. You will have access to 10 separate PDF documents: one per week.

The manual is more structured and it is something you can always get back to whenever you want to brush up on some material.

Very often in a group yoga class, especially a busy one, it is quite challenging for an instructor to physically correct all the students. Although they will most likely talk you through the possible options and variations, sometimes it takes time to figure out what option you need to take.
Also, all the postures have contraindications and advisories, and depending on your medical history it is good to know what you need to avoid or modify.

The aim of this course is to give you the basic knowledge of the 16 main Yoga postures for you to be able to practice yoga in a safe way and to be aware of how to get into the position, know what you are stretching, the correct alignment, what variations of the posture you can opt for, how to breathe in a pose and what benefits you gain from being in a posture.
This is a very straightforward and easy to follow course. We will be studying and deconstructing only 2 Yoga Postures per session stripping them away to the basics.
Every session consists of 3 parts:
1. Breathing pattern
2. Deconstructing the Asanas (16 Postures)
3. Yoga Practice
How does it work?
If you are signing up for a group session then once you sign up for the course you will be added to a secret Facebook group and will be provided with access to the online materials on a weekly basis. You will have a week to work on the materials on your own and then will have a group session on Saturday where we are going to go over everything and have a mini Yoga Session to practice what you have learnt.
There are 10 online sessions in the course and 10 sets of detailed PDFs to go with them. The group sessions will run as a 6 week course, so some weeks we will be including an extra pose or so to be able to cover all the materials.
