We are back to the BARRE!!
Why Barre? Well, first of all because it’s awesome and original! Second of all, because it is the best low impact full body workout that can bring you fast results and strengthen and tone your body.
Combined with precision and core strength of Pilates and mindfulness and flexibility of Yoga it is a fantastic asset to your lifestyle! Pilates exercises will constitute the vast majority of the floor work part of the session. They help to strengthen the arms and core, open the chest and work on the flexibility and mobility of the spine and legs.
The class is done to upbeat music and includes a warm up, barre section, standing light weights conditioning part, floor section consisting of mostly Pilates based exercises and a stretch part at the end.
The equipment used in a class is mostly soft Pilates balls, resistance bands, weighted Pilates balls and of course, a ballet bar. I have 2 wall mounted barres and a free standing portable one.You can view a short video of the Conditioning Part Here_

INTRODUCTION TO BARRE WORKSHOP (date tbc). If you are interested in Barre classes and haven’t done them before (or even if you have) it’ll be a good place to start your Barre journey! We will cover the structure of the class, Barre section, floor and conditioning sections of the session.
Your investment is £10 for a 2 Hour Session and the places are limited.
All my Barre Belles & Beaus will have access to a password protected page with weekly Barre Workouts that you can do throughout a week.
Your investment is £40 for a 6 Week Block of classes or £7 PAYG.

*** Block of 4 Barre Thursday Morning Sessions***

***I am running Trial 4 Week of Thursday morning Barre with a Fusion of Aerial & Mat Pilates/Yoga at the end***
You do not need to use the hammocks, they are there for those who would like to have a bit of an Aerial play. They do offer extra support and sometimes a bit of an extra challenge so it is always good to try both: Mat & Aerial Pilates/Yoga.
All the movements that we are going to do on the mat will be transferred to the hammocks, so you will always have a choice. I only have space for two hammocks so everyone will be alternating between Aerial and non Aerial movements anyway.
The breakdown of the Thursday session is:
10-10:40am Warm Up + Barre Workout (legs)
10:40am – 10:55am – Conditioning Section (Arms)
10:55am – 11:15am – Core/Stretch/Cool Down

I am trial running this session for 4 weeks in March & May. If there’s a demand for the class I will be more than happy to keep it going.
All the classes are small group sessions and places will be strictly limited.
The classes are interchangeable (that also includes Pilates and Yoga classes). You can jump from one class to another or do a couple of sessions a week if you would like to. If you miss a class you can always turn up to any of my other classes during the week instead.
