What is Vinyasa Flow Yoga?
The session is a set of mini sequences which consist of flowing into each other movements. The movements in vinyasa flow are coordinated with breath to help move from one pose into the next. Rest postures are also a part of the session. These are not complicated movements; easier and more advanced variations of the sequences will also be given to the participants.
The session is not just a set of sequences. A warm up, flexibility and a relaxation sections will all be included into the class.
This is a more fast-paced type of yoga than Iengar, Hatha or Yin Yoga. Sun salutations are a part of the session as well as a variety of other movements.
The benefits include increased flexibility, mobility and strengthening of the back and major muscles of the body; improved balance, mental focus and a toned healthy body.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a wonderful practice and, without being too biased, is by far my favourite type of yoga (although I do enjoy other types a lot)
The session will be held once monthly at Gym300 in Inverness. Due to the fact that the session will last loner than your normal yoga class, we will spend quite a considerable amount of time on working on your flexibility, core and upper body strengthening to help you improve your Flow Yoga practice.
We will work on putting together the movements into flowing mini sequences. We will be adding new sequences each month and you will have access to the videos of the routines that you have learn in previous sessions so that you can practice them at home in order to advance your practice.

The Vinyasa Flow sessions are suitable for all levels and abilities. During the upcoming weeks leading to the workshop and the classes I am going to demonstrate you that everything is scalable and all the postures and sequences can be modified to suit your levels and abilities. 🌟Weekly Flow Yoga Sessions🌟
A trial 6 week block of Flow Yoga Sessions will be held on Saturdays starting from the 28th of October from 10:15am to 11:45am.
These one and a half hour sessions will be run at a special price of £40 for 6 or £21 for 3 (drop in – £8)
I would encourage you to purchase a block of 6 or at least 3 sessions as it takes longer than one class to get all the benefits of the practice and to get the real feel for this type of yoga.
