This is the 4th Beginners Yoga Course we are running.

Very often in a group yoga class, especially a busy one, it is quite challenging for an instructor to physically correct all the students. Although they will most likely talk you through the possible options and variations, sometimes it takes time to figure out what option you need to take.
Also, all the postures have contraindications and advisories, and depending on your medical history it is good to know what you need to avoid or modify.

The aim of this course is to give you the basic knowledge of the 16 main Yoga postures for you to be able to practice yoga in a safe way and to be aware of how to get into the position, know what you are stretching, the correct alignment, what variations of the posture you can opt for, how to breathe in a pose and what benefits you gain from being in a posture.
This is a very straightforward and easy to follow course. We will be studying and deconstructing only 2 Yoga Postures per session stripping them away to the basics.
Every session consists of 3 parts:
1. Breathing pattern
2. Deconstructing the Asanas (16 Postures)
3. Yoga Practice
How does it work?
If you are signing up for a group session then once you sign up for the course you will be added to a secret Facebook group and will be provided with access to the online materials on a weekly basis. You will have a week to work on the materials on your own and then will have a group session on Saturday where we are going to go over everything and have a mini Yoga Session to practice what you have learnt.
There are 8 online sessions in the course and 8 sets of detailed PDFs to go with them. The group sessions will run as a 5 week course, so some weeks we will be including an extra pose or so to be able to cover all the materials.

The 5 Week YOGA BASICS runs along Vinyasa Flow for Beginners Block. It would be very beneficial to attend both sessions to apply what you have learnt in Yoga Basics on Saturday in practice on Wednesday. If you are attending Yoga Basics sessions you get £10 off Wednesday Beginners Yoga Flow Block.
