A Full Day Retreat, in the beautiful Cairngorms National Park, in the Scottish Highlands

Lisa McDonald from Haven House Healing and myself are inviting you to join us for a full day Seasonal Retreat A day to completely focus on your own healing journey, by immersing in the healing and grounding energies of the forest and connecting with your Inner Goddess, through various practices that promote healing and wellbeing.

 

Throughout the day you will be guided through activities that include:

 - Breathwork​

 - Guided Mediation

 - Visualisations

 - Creativity

 - Yoga

 - Sound Healing

 - Tea Ceremony for Aura Cleansing & Expansion

 - Forest Bathing

Throughout the day you will be guided to truly step into flow, through these various practices, and encouraged to release all that no longer serves you, enabling you to step into a more invigorated, grounded, and stronger version of you.

Why the Forest?

 

Studies have shown that spending time in nature, particularly in forests, can lower blood pressure, decrease anxiety, and improve mood. Simply listening to the sounds of the forest can help reduce cortisol levels, the hormone associated with stress. Moreover, forests are rich in negative ions, which are believed to boost energy levels and enhance overall vitality. Negative ions are abundant in natural settings like forests, waterfalls, and beaches, and have been linked to improved mood, mental clarity, and physical well-being. Breathing in these negative ions in a forest environment can help increase oxygen flow to the brain, leaving you feeling more alert and invigorated.

Forests are teeming with life, from towering trees to tiny insects, all interconnected and dependent on each other for survival. This interconnectedness mirrors our own energetic system, where every thought, emotion, and action has a ripple effect on our well-being. When we immerse ourselves in a forest environment, we are surrounded by this harmonious energy flow, which can help realign our own energetic patterns.

Moreover, spending time in nature can help us tap into the Earth’s natural energy fields, such as the Schumann Resonance, a frequency that surrounds the planet and is believed to have a profound impact on our health and well-being. By grounding ourselves in nature, we can sync up with these natural frequencies, promoting a sense of balance and vitality. In essence, being in a forest is not just about enjoying the sights and sounds of nature; it’s about tapping into a deeper connection with the world around us. By immersing ourselves in the vibrant energy of a forest ecosystem, we can harmonise our own energetic patterns and experience a greater sense of peace and well-being.

AGENDA FOR THE DAY

 

  • 10 am – Welcome and Circle Opening (Lisa & Natallia)

  • 10.15 am -  Breathwork for relaxation and to invite the energy in the body to begin to move, with a variety of breathing exercises (Lisa)

 

  • 10.30 am - Intention setting and manifestation with a combination of meditation and creative expression, to connect with the Inner Goddess (Lisa)

 

  • 11.15 am - Tea Ceremony for Aura Cleansing and Expansion (Lisa)

 

  • 11.30 am – Slow Flow Yoga with Natallia. During the yoga practice we will welcome you to the tranquil sanctuary of slow flow yoga, where you will be invited to reconnect with the essence of the forest goddess and the natural world around you through a series of grounding flows and mindful holds. Each pose is an opportunity to connect with the natural world, to feel the earth beneath you and the sky above, and to tap into the stillness and magic of the forest that surrounds us.

 

  • 12.30 pm – 1.30 pm – Lunch

 

  • 1.30 pm – Forest Bathing with Mindful Walking and Creativity with Lisa. As well as taking a mindful walk in the forest, you will be encouraged to gather leaves and foliage in order to create a forest inspired painting back at the tipi. You will be given demonstrations in creating a Painting in Acrylics, using paints, paintbrushes and natural elements. A beautiful exploration of energy through mark making with paints. You will get to take home your finished painting at the end of the day.

 

  • 3.15 pm – Yin Yoga with Natallia – In the yin yoga session we will draw on the wisdom and serenity of the forest to guide you through a practice of deep stretching, mindfulness and relaxation. Feel the energy of the forest flowing through you, guiding you towards a state of inner peace and connection with all living beings.

 

  • 4.00 pm – Sound Bath with Lisa & Natallia – Allow a plethora of beautiful sounds from a variety of instruments to wash over you and soothe away any last remaining stress or tension.

 

  • 4.40 pm– Closing Circle

 

  • 5 pm – Close

 

What to Bring and What to Wear 

 

  • A yoga mat (if you have one)

 

  • Wear loose comfortable clothes, with layers. Bring warm socks if you  have them.

  • Please bring or wear waterproof clothes and have some water resistant or waterproof shoes 

 

  • A pillow and Blanket

  • The materials for the mini creative workshops are provided

  • Lunch is included. Please advise at time of booking if you have dietary requirements.

What is Goddess Energy?

 

The Goddess is no external force or power that we are seeking, but an energy that we can tap into, and embody so that we become the beautiful, powerful, strong, archetypal warrior and embrace her true feminine power within ourselves.

During the day we will explore the archetypal energy of some well known Goddesses, and invite their energy into our body and aura.

Forest Goddesses have many names throughout the ages. Artemis is one of the most revered Greek goddesses. She was also called Artemis of the Wildland, and Mistress of Animals. Artemis is a goddess of the Hellenic era, a goddess of nature and animals, the wilderness, and hunting. In Ancient Greek, Gaia was referred to as Mother Nature, Earth Mother, Mother Titan, or Great Titan. She is considered to be one of the most natural goddesses there is, a visible representation of the Earth. The goddess was one of the first beings thought to exist, right from the beginning of time itself. She birthed mountains and planets.

Lisa McDonald is a practicing artist with 15 years experience of delivering workshops in painting, creativity, mindfulness and mediation.

She is also a qualified Life Coach and Colour Therapist, which she uses in one to one coaching sessions, as well in group settings to teach and guide clients in ways to improve mental health and wellbeing.

Holding regular outdoor mindfulness workshops, meditation sessions, and using tools such as creative doodling, vision boarding and journaling, Lisa loves combining knowledge and skills, with creative flow.

In 2020, Lisa experienced a very physical kundalini awakening, which awoke within her the ability to feel people’s auras very profoundly. She is now a practicing Energy Healer, and uses intuitive techniques to release blockages from the aura and body.

She now completely believes and knows that we can tap into the innate healing energy that resides in all of us, and that in fact the more we do this, through a variety of healing modalities, the more we heal.

It is her calling and her passion to bring healing to others, and to bring people into this stunning, remote and wild Scottish Highlands landscape to receive the healing benefits that it brings.

Natallia Maguire is a Yoga and Pilates teacher and retreats facilitator with a passion for health and wellness. Since 2007, she has been guiding and empowering individuals on transformative journeys through her expertise in Yoga, Pilates, Dance and other health and fitness related activities.

Natallia’s love for open water swims, hikes, movement and mindfulness as well as all things outdoorsy, shines through in her retreats, creating a space for participants to connect with nature and themselves. Whether online or in person, Natallia’s offerings provide a holistic approach to well-being, helping individuals relax, rejuvenate, and thrive.
