From January 2020 we will be offering a full or specific target areas Myofascial Release private or small group sessions.
What is fascia and what is Myofascial Release?
Fascia is a clingfilm-like or spider web like substance that wraps around all our muscles and organs, offering support and reducing friction during everyday movement. ‘Myofascial release’ is a set of techniques that aim to give this spiders web a workout, stretching and smoothing it so your body works at its optimum level. It relieves stress, reduces tightness and triggers the response from the nervous system.
We will use therapy balls of various sizes, yoga blocks, foam rollers and other props to release the tight spots and to manipulate the fascia.
We combine yoga with Myofascial Release to enhance the results and to add the benefits of breath and movement to the practice.
Myofascial release is an amazing practice that would benefit athletes helping them with muscle recovery, and anyone else who feels under pressure and tension from their daily life of sitting down too much, stressing about life or any other reason: we all need it and I do guarantee you that absolutely everyone will find this practice very beneficial.
We can work on specific problematic areas or cover the whole spectrum of trigger points.
The balls we use for private session vary in size: we use small tiny balls for feet and hand MFR, slightly bigger balls imitate the pressure of a thumb, medium size ones imitate the pressure of an elbow and the alpha ball imitates the pressure of a fist. Depending on what body parts we work on and the required pressure we would choose a set of balls or a singular ball of a certain size to be used for the practice.
We use Coregeous (small Pilates) ball mainly for abdominal and diaphragmatic massage and breath work.
When it comes to group classes we use regular size therapy balls, blocks and foam rollers.
Please message me if you’d like to book a private session (1-2-1 or up to 3-4 people in a class). The session lasts for 1 1/2 hours and can either be done at my place or I can come to you .
Your investment is £40 for a 1-2-1 session or £60 for a small group session.

I would recommend to have a set of your own therapy balls for the session. If you are not sure which ones to purchase, please message me and I’ll recommend you some good brands.
