This Yoga Practice will focus on loosening tight hips, improving your range of motion and circulation and alleviating back pain.
Lower back pain is very much associated with hip pain. The hips are the biggest joints in the body and they, together with the spine, support our posture. If the hips are mobile and healthy it makes all functional movements (like walking, sitting, bending, etc) easier to perform. By releasing the tension in the hip joints we also release emotional pain and blockages that come with it.
We are going to work through hip opening sequences to help mobilise the joints and also help to get rid of the tightness and both physical and emotional blockages.
The session will also include the postures to mobilise and strengthen your spine and your core. We will use Yoga Wheels to help with working on your spine mobility.
Everything we are going to practice in the session is accessible for everyone and I always have props to help you make the postures easier to get into.
The session will conclude with a nice restorative sequence and 15-20 minute Yoga Nidra Practice.
